In this course, students will delve into the intersection of law and sports, focusing on various legal issues that arise within the sports industry. Topics that may be examined include athlete contracts, collective bargaining agreements in team sports, the relationship between sports law and general law, intellectual property and sports, and emerging issues in sport law. This course will combine theoretical foundations with practical applications, allowing students to understand how legal frameworks impact athletes, teams, leagues, and sport organizations.
