Course Description
This cross-disciplinary field combines principles of the natural sciences to understand the biological functions behind human behavior, thoughts, and feelings. Covering introductory concepts involved in these areas of study, you’ll learn how neuroplasticity, chemical processes, and gene functions cognitively impact the brain with memory, decision-making, and language. Course topics will include neurotransmission and communication, sensory and perceptual processes, cognition and decision making, research methods, and emerging trends. By the end of this program, you’ll have a solid foundation in the essentials of BCN enabling you to further explore the depths of this captivating field or apply your knowledge to other disciplines, including psychology, neuroscience, medicine, and beyond.
