Course Description
This course will explore the foundations in neuroanatomy (the study of the brain’s structure and function) and explore the regions of the brain through sensory, motor, and cognitive experiments through activities such as sheep brain dissections and other hands-on experiments. Examine how damage to these structures can lead to trauma, neurodegenerative disease, and deficits. Identify emerging needs in artificial intelligence, genome engineering, and novel therapeutics that explore untapped elements of research and development in neuroscience that can transform the future. If a career in neuroscience is in your future, this course will provide the knowledge needed to examine clinical applications practiced in the field. *Gifted course, see Admissions Criteria for eligibility requirements.
